“Flowers in my work dominate consciously. I chose them as if they were living creatures to express my thoughts and to create emotions. They create harmony in colour and shape leading me to a deeper narratives. After all, the floral and colourful variety of plants allows us to expand the subtle aesthetic perception, soothes and heals us, helps to relax. For me, personally, the flowers are living beings. I haven’t created any painting to portray them as Still Life. Nature itself is alive, moving, changing in the seasons. Therefore, flowers sometimes remind me of birds, sometimes butterflies, and sometimes small cosmic universes. They inspire to live, to love and to create,” says Anna, and adds “For many years now, I live in Klaipėda, Lithuania, and I always feel the presence of the sea. The sea, in one way or another, although with small hints, lives in my paintings. This is why so much blue colour in my works, because it is the colour of space, sky and the sea.”
